On Thursday I went to the thrift store near my apartment and I found a bunch of stuff for my Sybil costumes that I'm going to wear for the North American Discworld Convention. [link] I found some big rubber boots and this ghastly pink nightgown. All that it was missing was a pocket with a rabbit on it! I also found this rust colored cardigan sweater. The only thing was the skirt. There were so many skirts that were totally ridiculous looking but none of them fit so I ended up getting this black skirt that actually makes the whole outfit look almost stylish. (Yes, even in big rubber boots.) Everything including this extra ugly skirt I found (which didn't fit) cost $20.

If I had a camera I'd post pics of myself in my Sybil stuff but for now y'all just have to wait until after the convention. I still need to buy a pale blue ball gown and maybe a wig or two and that'll be all I need.

I just wish that Vip's Vimes costume were this easy but sadly armor is a little trickier to come by. I might end up making the chain mail myself for him. He doesn't have as much free time as me or patience.

Isn't that just something Sybil would do? Knit chain mail for her man.
