Aaaaahhhhhh!!!

I decided that since I don't really have the budget to buy some of the things for the Mister's Vimes costume, I'm gunna make some of it. So for the past few days I've been looking at different cosplay tutorials and I'm gunna make a craft foam breastplate (and possibly backplate), helmet and... *gulp* chain mail. I just got most of the supplies I need... I think. But I gotta say, I'm scared s***less of actually making any of this. I know I don't have much patience for crafts and I'm sorta worried that I'm gunna get a Sybil trying to knit socks situation with the chain mail.

I mean making the little rings is pretty straightforward and so is hooking them together but I'm gunna have to take thousands of metal rings and somehow make them into a shirt. I just keep imagining that I'm gunna wind up making a big huge sheet that could be a cape and then not knowing what to do with it. So yes, I'm nervous, somewhat intimidated and in need of encouragement.

You go girl. X3 Like Jem says, just stick to the tutorials and it'll be fun.

You're lucky to get to cosplay, I think. There is no real oppurtunity around here, apart from the odd party, which doesn't really count as no-one else understands the concept.

Oh well. Good luck, anyway.
